Davits

The Genesi SCTY system is a unique design which offers different configurations with a single product; self-supporting, floor mounted or via a towing hook depending on the accessories chosen. The system consists of the following main components:

• 1 x Central Core
• 3 x Adjustable Support Feet
• 2 x Main Stabilisation bars
• 1x Self-supporting stabilisation bar

The self-supporting configuration offers a stable a secure support and can be used at the corner of a space as the legs form a 'Y' shape with the davit arm extending out over the opening.

With the addition of 2 further attachments the system allows for a floor mounted arrangement using the ground-mounting accessory which is fixed with an M16 fastening giving you a T-configuration base. The inclusion of the towing hook accessory enables the T-configuration setup to be attached to the towing hook of a suitable vehicle.

The system is versatile, easy to install and use with an integrated spirit level and adjustable feet. The system is assembled with pins so special tools are not required to adapt the system to a large range of scenarios. The system can be used with the SC6NW, SC6F and the SC3 Davit Arms.

Depending on the configuration the system is certified for 2 or 3 operators.

The Genesi SCTY anchoring device complies with EN795:2012 and CEN/TS 16415:2013 TYPE B

The Sala Adjustable Davit Mount makes it possible to provide a safe access solution where this would previously have been very difficult. This can also be used to form a lifting point onto a trench sheet up-stand. If used with very light duty sheets such as M6 then a wooden sleeper should be used behind the sheets so as to increase the allowable bending moment.

The Adjustable Davit Mount can be used on any items from 0mm to 610mm providing the allowable bending moment meets 10170 NM. So for concrete abutments, coffer dams, trench boxes and many other areas this offers a light solution capable of attaching 2 man riding winches or fall arrest retrieve blocks.

The Trench Sheet Davit Mount is designed to fit on any trench sheet with a pan of 205mm width or more. The internal opening is 95mm and will fit over many other items as well as trench sheets such as steel structures and some smaller walled trench boxes.

The Trench Sheet Davit Mount makes a simple solution to safe access and egress in what used to be an almost impossible situation. The unit can be used with either Fall Arrest or Full Man Riding Winches. The unit is simple to mount and very robust.

The Trench sheet must be able to withstand an allowable bending moment of 10170 NM which can be confirmed by the manufacturer of the sheet.

The Porta-Base Trench Mount is designed for use with trench sheets and dig-through-box shoring applications and is suitable for use with Reid Davits up to 1200mm radius. It can be used for the lifting of goods, the lifting of personnel or for providing a safety anchor for the prevention of falls.

The mount is simple to install by lowering the unit onto a suitable structure and tightening the fixing rods on the front and back.

The Porta-Base Trench Mount has a personnel lifting capacity of 250kg, a good lifting capacity of 500kg and fall arrest capacity for one user.

The substrate of the structure on which the product is placed must be able to withstand all the forces transmitted by the system when generating a maximum moment of 7.2kN.m (service load 6kN). Safety factors must be applied.

The Sala 5 piece hoist system allows the maximum amount of room for both entrant and top man to control the descent.

The system offers 2 quick fit mounting positions so that 2 full man riding winches can be used and adjusts in width from 940mm to 1626mm. The mast is able to be turned so that it can be taken out of the entrance area. This assists both recovery and the lowering of goods into the space.

The unit has 4 adjustable feet so as to ensure it can be set flat and will accommodate ground with undulations but is not suited for working on angled ground.

The 5 piece short reach davit has 4 EN795 type B anchor points and is certified for fall arrest for 2 users at the same time.

There are two points for connection to fall arrest PPE and two guided cable lifelines for a SRL and winch. The SRL and winch can be mounted to the front or back of the universal mast or davit mast extension for access or rescue applications.

The base unit adjusts in width from 121.3cm to 189.9cm to accommodate various spaces. The mast can be turned 204° so that it can be taken out of the entrance area. This assists both recovery and the lowering of goods into the space.

The unit has 4 adjustable feet so as to ensure it can be set flat and will accommodate ground with undulations but is not suited for working on angled ground. The structure it is used on must be capable of supporting a 13.79kN vertical load.

This unit is now rated for both man-riding and goods lifting.

The Sala 5 piece extra wide hoist system allows the maximum amount of room for both top man and entrant.

This system adjusts in width from 1778mm to 2464mm allowing it to clear gatic covers and larger manholes.

The system uses the same quick fit brackets as the smaller 5 piece hoist system and also offers the adjustable legs for level positioning.

The mast is able to be rotated and can have 2 full man riding winches used with it.

The 5 piece long reach davit has 4 EN795 type B anchor points and is certified for fall arrest for 2 users at the same time.

There are two points for connection to fall arrest PPE and two guided cable lifelines for a SRL and winch. The SRL and winch can be mounted to the front or back of the universal mast or davit mast extension for access or rescue applications.

The base unit adjusts in width from 192.7cm to 261.3cm to accommodate larger spaces. The mast can be turned 204° so that it can be taken out of the entrance area. This assists both recovery and the lowering of goods into the space.

The unit has 4 adjustable feet so as to ensure it can be set flat and will accommodate ground with undulations but is not suited for working on angled ground. The structure it is used on must be capable of supporting a 13.79kN vertical load.

This unit is now rated for both man-riding and goods lifting.

The Porta-Base H comes as a three piece system that is easy to transport and assemble where use of a fixed socket is not possible.

The unit is intended to be used for the lifting of goods, personnel, rope access or for providing a safety anchor for the prevention of falls as part of a personal fall protection system. (PFAS).

The Porta-Base H can be used with the Porta-Davit Quantum or T-Davits which offer a working radius of up to 800mm at maximum. The unit can support goods lifting up to 600kg and personnel lifting up to 300kg.

The base unit adjusts in width from 143cm to 183cm and has levelling feet to enable the system to function correctly on uneven ground.

The Porta-Base H is approved to EN795:2012 and ATEX Zone 2 as standard and optionally for ATEX Zone 1.

The vehicle hitch mount base allows you to connect to a vehicle (minimum vehicle weight 925kg) with a hitch ball coupler (50mm / 2") to provide a portable anchor point. It provides fall arrest capability for 2 users and up to two guided lines for an SRL and/or winch.

The spreader leg is 239cm in width and different masts can be fitted (only 1 mast extension can be used) to give varying davit heights. The base unit can be extended from 188.4cm to 264.6cm away from the vehicle.

With the standard unit the bottom of the ball coupler can be adjusted from 305cm to 679cm high. For vehicles with a high hitch attachment there is an optional coupler that operates from 305cm to 805cm.

Both the small and long reach high capacity davit arms can be used with this system.

The ignition keys for the vehicle should be locked out for safety when using this system.

This unit is now rated for both man-riding and goods lifting.

The Catwalk Clamp offers a perfect solution where space is limited and the structure needs a safe system of access and egress. All legs are adjustable to ensure that sighting can be altered to suit the flooring. The back clamping mount offers variable settings to ensure the throat of the clamp can be positioned onto the catwalk and then secured into place with the leg adjuster.

The Catwalk Clamp requires a mast and davit to be used with it and these can be selected from the standard range.

The Guard Rail Davit System provides a highly portable option for fall protection, entry and retrieval for confined spaces.

The guard rails have a integrated mast which is used with a davit arm and gate access to the space. The guard rails can also be used in the open V position but a rear stabiliser must be used in this configuration.

The Guard Rail Davit System is rated for one person and has a maximum working load of 190kg and has been certified to EN 795: 2012 Type B and TS16415: 2013.

The Counterweight Hoist System is perfect for conditions where an entry point has a raised area around it or is far too large to span. This makes the system ideal for large digestion storage tanks as well as long trench shaped confined space areas.

The Counterweight’s leg height adjusts from 200mm to 900mm and length can be increased or decreased so as to use the minimum number of weights for the space you have.

300-730mm Adjustable Offset Davit Arm:

The Porta-Base Counterbalance comes as a five piece system that is easy to transport and assemble where use of a fixed socket is not possible.

The Porta-Base Counterbalance can be used with the Porta-Davit Quantum or T-Davits that have a maximum radius of 1200mm. The unit can support both goods lifting up to 600kg and personnel lifting up to 300kg.

The base unit adjusts in width from 232cm to 272cm and has levelling feet to enable the system to function correctly on uneven ground. It also has integrated swivel castors to increase portability.

20kg hand weights are used with the unit and the number required is calculated based upon the davit radius and load weight required (see the Porta-Base Counterbalance & Davit Option sheet for details).

The Porta-Base Counterbalance is approved to EN795:2012 and can be certified for ATEX Zone 2 as an option.

The Counterweight system has a central counterweight cart connected to a davit base. All the components of the system can be easily moved to different locations as they are stored on the cart along with the mast and davit arm. The cart also has a built-in forklift pocket and lifting rings for ease of transport.

The counterweight can be used with either the short reach davit arm (18 x 20kg weights required) or the long reach davit arm (32 x 20kg weights required).

The sales price for the counterweight is for the counterweight base system only. The mast, davit arm and weights must be bought as separate items.
